Nicholas Hythe has been designing and installing bespoke kitchens across Cambridgeshire since 2009. In that time, we have delivered more than a thousand kitchens in homes ranging from period properties to contemporary extensions.
An independent, specialist approach
We are an independent Cambridgeshire business, formed by two brothers who were born and still live in the county.
We operate from showrooms in St Ives and Ely and are proud to be one of only a small number of businesses nationally — and the county’s only — Trading Standards Approved kitchen design and installation specialist.
In practical terms, that means we work transparently, price clearly and remain responsible for what we deliver before, during and after your installation.
A structured way of working
Most problems in kitchen projects do not begin during installation. They begin earlier — where requirements have not been fully captured, specifications not fully defined, or trades are working without coordination.
Our approach is methodical. Layouts are resolved before orders are placed, specifications are clearly defined and agreed, and technical details are considered early so installation proceeds as it should.
One point of responsibility
Whether we are designing your kitchen, supplying and installing it as part of a wider project, or managing the entire process, our role is to ensure that everything is properly planned and delivered.
You are not left coordinating trades or resolving issues yourself.

Much of our work comes through personal recommendation within Cambridgeshire.
That trust has been built by doing what we say we will do and approaching every project with care, so that the results stand up over time. Visiting one of our showrooms is often the best way to appreciate the detail, proportions and materials used within an in-frame kitchen
