We’re not big on self-publicity; we’re more the type to keep our heads down and do a great job for our clients.  And because this year has been really busy, we initially missed the fact that we’d won the ‘Best Showroom in Huntingdonshire’ award from our industry’s leading magazine, Kbbreview (December 2014)!

The mystery shopper commented “In an enviable corner location in the market town of St Ives, the Nicholas Hythe kitchen studio has big bright windows that tempt passers-by to view the attractive kitchens within.  And they are attractive (we assume she meant the displays, not us!) The showroom is clutter-free and pleasingly laid out, so that customers can wander from a modern white-gloss handleless design to a painted wood kitchen with oak island. Good lighting and a few attractive props added to the ambiance.

Bill, sat at a central desk, looked up and said hello as I walked in, but he was on the phone, which gave me time to wander round. Phone call finished, he joined me and we chatted about the style of kitchen I was interested in.  “There is so much choice now, but we can narrow that down for you. It helps me to know what you don’t like as much as what you do,” he explained.

Mystery Shopper score:  Overall:  Service: 4 Showroom: 4 Score 8/10.  “Lovely showroom and confident service”

So forgive us this once if we crow about this award as it’s one that’s really testament to what we believe in as a business
