We are currently looking for a full-time (Monday-Friday, 40hrs per week although part-time applicants would be considered) warehouse operative/delivery driver.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

·         Welcoming and safely unloading inbound deliveries of heavy items using the appropriate equipment and training provided
·         Checking inbound deliveries contain all items shown on the order sheets provided by the procurement team
·         Safely moving and storing all delivered items using the appropriate tools and training provided
·         Reporting damages to the procurement team
·         Using the equipment and training provided, safely drilling the hinge holes for doors prior to their dispatch to site
·         Safely preparing outbound orders and loading delivery vehicles of heavy items using the appropriate equipment and training provided
·         Delivering orders to site at a time agreed with the project manager
·         Organising the warehouse to ensure stock is stored safely and tidily so that it is easy to manoeuvre around, damages are minimised and stock is easily accessible for picking
·         Using the checklists, ensure all health & safety checks – including to all equipment and the Company vehicle – are undertaken in line with the requirements agreed
·         Using the checklists, ensure the cleaning routine – including to all equipment, Burrel premises (downstairs) and the Company vehicle – are undertaken in line with the requirements agreed
·         Ensuring site safety (eg clearing obstructions, spreading grit when icy etc) – internally and externally – is maintained at all times
·         Communicating using the telephone and send emails to people within NH and 3rd parties
·         Supporting the Project Manager to ensure all installations are managed and completed on time to the agreed NH standard
·         Supporting the team by undertaking any tasks requested to ensure the smooth running of the business and all its premises

Skills & Attributes required:

·         Be organised, enthusiastic and have a positive disposition – a good sense of humour whilst maintaining professionalism
·         Be able to work as part of a small, effective team to achieve results
·         Must be able to work on one’s own when required
·         Must be reliable
·         Must be able to produce professionally written and spoken communications in English
·         Current valid full driving license

Salary: £21,000.
