March was a big month for us at Nicholas Hythe Kitchen Design Studio here in St Ives!
Firstly, due to the growth we continue to benefit from – certainly helped by industry ‘bible’ KBBreview magazine’s kind decision to vote us as their ‘Best Showroom in Huntingdon’ and nominate us as one of only four retailers nationally for their customer service award (more of which later)
Secondly, we eventually completed the purchase of an off-site storage unit. Necessary because our rapid growth meant the showroom often looked like a warehouse rather than the design studio it was meant to be! Not only will the unit free up space but it’ll also allow us to undertake more extensive pre-delivery checks to ensure any manufacturing defects are picked up early and avoid any undue delays in completing clients’ new kitchens.
Those who may have visited the showroom in March won’t have seen it looking at its pristine best! The purchase of the storage unit allowed us to remove a stud wall and extend the showroom further
And, to cap it all, Monday 13th March saw us travel to London for the KBBreview annual awards at the Park Lane Hilton no less! The black tie event bought 600 retailers and suppliers together to celebrate the best the industry has to offer. Whilst we didn’t win the whole team is extremely proud to have been one of only four retailers nationally to have been nominated for the customer service award. In truth, we weren’t that disappointed as it was only an accolade and we’re much more about delighting clients’ with kitchens that really meet their dreams and expectations!
